Position Overview:

The WoodMaster Regional Manager Retail (RMR) is responsible for successfully promoting and selling WoodMaster outdoor furnaces, parts, and accessories to our Retail Store network and their consumers. In this role you will manage the retailers in your territory and develop and grow the territory’s market basket by maintaining effective and productive relationships with Retailer Corporate Offices, Store Management, Associates and Customers.

To be successful in this role you need a proven track record in managing, developing and growing an independent retail network, multi-unit retail accounts or vendor selling network. You will need a passion for driving results and motivating retailers to purchase, promote and sell WoodMaster products along with a willingness to travel and dedicate evenings and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities:

Must be able to:

  • Implement sales and registration plans and motivate retailers to sell WoodMaster products
  • Build and maintain positive and profitable business relationships with retailers and customers
  • Visit retailers providing training, support, direction, and leadership 
  • Assist in developing effective new retail store programs to achieve company growth objectives
  • Serve as consultant to WoodMaster retailers, developing and providing solutions and ideas to improve sales, inventory management and product and associate training
  • Assist and train retailers regarding ordering procedures along with inventory and logistics planning
  • Demonstrate outdoor wood furnace usage, operation, and maintenance to dealers and end users while promoting safe use of product
  • Assist in recruiting local installers and service providers within local store areas per retailer’s guidelines
  • Actively recruit new Retail Store partners within the territory.
  • Assist in recruiting new potential Dealerships for other Central Boiler Companies product lines if opportunity presents itself within assigned territory
  • Attend shows and events promoting the WoodMaster brand and products
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and timely including activity reports, expense reports, and CRM updates
  • Stay current with product and trends
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules including weekends and evenings as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Minimum/Essential Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field or relevant work experience
  • Proven success in managing an independent dealer network, multi-unit retail accounts, or manufacturer vendor accounts.
  • Proven track record of driving results
  • 5-7 years of similar sales experience.
  • Ability to learn WoodMaster products, operations, maintenance, and company programs
  • Results driven, self-confident with the ability to make decisions and solve problems
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Remain composed during stressful situations and always display a professional demeaner at all times
  • Computer literacy, MSOffice experience and able to learn internal software systems
  • Knowledge of sales processes
  • Experience using a CRM platform
  • Willingness to allocate 75% of time travelling including weekends and evenings if needed
  • Willingness to travel to Greenbush. MN headquarters once a quarter
  • Valid driver’s license, no major driving violations, and able to maintain a DOT health card  

Physical Requirements such as below

  • Capable of lifting up to 55 lbs, loading/unloading trailers, and operating outdoor power equipment   
  • May spend parts of the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
  • May include standing, sitting, squatting, lifting, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching and reaching out to arm’s length, reaching over-head

The salary range including incentives for this role is $80,000 to $110,000 per year. The salary range for the position will be determined by several factors, such as the candidate’s previous related work experience, education, knowledge, technical skills, performance and abilities.
